아시아 역사상 최초로 방탄소년단의 곡 '버터'가 미국 빌보드 '핫 100'에서 4주 연속 1위를 차지했습니다. 아시아 가수의 '빌보드 핫 100' 역사상 첫 기록입니다. '핫 100'은 62년의 전통을 가지고 있는데요. 지금까지 곡을 발매하자마자 1위에  등극한 곡은 방탄소년단의 '버터'를 포함해 총 54곡뿐입니다. 그중 1위를 4주 이상 유지한 곡은 13곡밖에 없습니다. 특히 그룹으로서는 유일합니다.

현재까지도 음원의 판매량 파워가 막강합니다. 2위인 올리비아 로드리고의 곡 '굿 포 유' 보다 다소 스트리밍 횟수는 적었지만, 음원 판매량, 다운로드 부문에서는 차이를 좁힐 수 없을 만큼 압도적이었습니다. 게다가 미국 라디오 방송에서의 스트리밍 횟수도 점점 늘어나면서 더욱이 그 인기를 확장하는 모양새인데요. 5주 연속도 바라볼 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.

그룹 방탄소년단은 빌보드에 입성한 후 곡을 발표할 때마다 계속해서 새로운 기록을 써오고 있는데요. 특히 이번 '버터'의 '핫 100' 4주 연속 1위는 1963년 일본의 사카모토 큐 ’3주 연속 1위’ 넘어서는 아시아 최초의 기록이 됐습니다.

요즘 빌보드 차트에서 1위를 유지하는 것은 점점 더 어려운 일이 되고 있는데 4주 연속 1위라는 것은 엄청난 기록일 수밖에 없습니다. 특히 방탄소년단의 '버터'를 포함해 올해 '핫 100'에서 4주 연속으로 1위에 등극한 곡은 단지 2곡에 불과합니다. 다음 주에도 1위를 지킨다면 5주 연속이 되면서 계속 새로운 기록을 세우게 됩니다. BTS의 '핫 100' 통산 10번째 1위가 되겠네요.

7월 9일 CD까지 발매하게 되면 '버터' 열풍은 계속될 것으로 보입니다. 미국 팝 시장에서 주류 아티스로서 정말 자랑스럽습니다. 이번 노래도 정말 좋더라고요. ^^ 티저 영상 때부터 빵 터졌었죠. 뮤비도 거의 매일 보고 있고 배경화면으로도 설정해서 매일 봅니다. ㅋㅋ
